Hiya, Beauties! I hope everyone is having a spectacular week so far. I've had a few ups and downs, but mostly ups. Lately, I've been practicing what I call the Art of Letting Go. If something negative comes up, I acknowledge it, and then I crush it. I literally visualize this negative energy as a ball of light, and I imagine sending it from the crown of my head, down through my throat, into to my stomach, and down and down until it reaches the tips of my toes. Once it shoots out of my toes, I crush it like a can until it disappears. This meditative visualization has helped me cope with things I just don't need in my life.

We are all human, and it's okay to get your feelings hurt or to feel let down. While we cannot control every aspect of our day, we can control how we choose to react to certain situations. Today, I am choosing love. It's your life. Live it filled with love and remind yourself of all the things that make life BEAUTIFUL. I'm sure you will find there is a lot...here are a few of mine below:

things I love...

[WHAT]Buying fresh flowers on Saturdays[WHY]I love coming home to an apartment filled with beautiful flowers. It feels ritualistic and it is my time to get zen. I am going to take a workshop to learn more about flower arranging! [WHAT]Yarok Hair Shampoo & Conditioner [WHY]Yarok is an organic and natural company that sources ethically and consciously. It's free of sulfates, parabens and cruelty. I just started using it, and so far I've noticed my hair is less frizzy, and it is definitely shinier. Hopefully the long term affects will be even greater.

[WHAT]Matcha Green Tea Powder [WHY]Thanks to my mom and Candice Kumai, I am finally taking their advice. Matcha is sooo good for you. It's high in antioxidants, fortifies the immune system, and boosts memory (heck yes). Scoop it into your morning green smoothies! If you'd like to try it topically, it's also amazing for your skin. I've been using it as a face mask (blog post to follow)! Thank you, Candice, for providing this mighty green photo of your delicious Matcha Green Tea Smoothie (click link for recipe)!

[WHAT] YogiLauren Taus[WHY] #Goals. She inspires me to challenge myself. I hope to have her incredible arm strength one of these days. This is why Instagram is such an amazing tool. I use it to discover interesting and inspiring people, and I use it to learn!

[WHAT]My Vegan Island Girl Breakfast Recipe [WHY]This was the beginning of my clean eating journey, and it truly is a delicious and protein-packed way to start your day. It's cool to see how far my blog has come in terms of photography. Click the recipe link above and you'll see what I mean. The photo was taken inside my tiny studio apartment in Ohio while I was in college. Man oh man, time flies!
