My heart is filled with so much joy and gratitude. On Tuesday, I taught my very first official vinyasa flow yo'! It felt incredible to finally do it. As some of you may know, I completed my yoga teacher training in Nicaragua back in October. Upon returning, I was just super swamped with starting a new job, building up my blog, working on a start-up, and just trying to maintain some sort of social life (although, I didn't do a very good job with this). It's been seven months since my training, and I am finally able to dedicate time to teaching.

We had a wonderful turn out on Tuesday, and I couldn't have asked for a better group of strangers to be my test subjects (whether they knew it or not haha). Thank you to all who came out, and for any of my students who found their way to my blog. There is so much good to celebrate this week (HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULIA KNOLL!), so let's see if I can narrow it down:

Things I Love...

[WHAT] I must say it again for good measure... I love teaching yoga. [WHY]I honestly wasn't sure if I would enjoy it at first. I enjoy being a student, and teaching takes a completely different set of mental muscles. Teaching has allowed me the opportunity to dig deeper into my own practice, and it feels amazing to know I contributed to sending twenty people off into a land of mindful relaxation.

[WHAT]My best friend & soul sister who is getting married![WHY]Grace is my longest and closest friend. This weekend I head back to my ole Kentucky home to celebrate her Bachelorette Party and Bridal Shower. I am so proud of Grace, and I am just so honored I get to be by her side as she says 'I do'. #ohsheglows [WHAT] Singing on Snapchat [WHY]I miss singing, so Snapchat is a nice outlet for me to bust out a goofy 10 second sampler without taking it too seriously. I have a few hard-core passions outside of wellness and writing, and I hope to share some original tunes with you in the future. Follow me if daaaaare @zenjules.

[WHAT]Tiny Devotion's new Flower of Life Ring & Vortex Cuff[WHY]I am really digging the shiny chrome metal vibes lately. This cuff is so fun to wear with the hanging chain tassels, and the scrolling detailed engravings. I really connect to this brand, and love everything they do.

[WHAT]Throwing on a denim ball cap and calling it a day. [WHY]Because life gets BUSY, and I don't want to wash my hair every other day. I have a lot of fun dressing up a cool hat with fun accessories. This helps me stay mindful, while protecting my hair and not over-washing it. Who needs dry shampoo? Buy a hat. I snagged this denim baseball cap from Madewell for $25. Not bad, not bad, eh?

Thank you my loves! It's been a full week, and I am really excited to start teaching weekly classes. I'll be sure to let my NY readers know, so you can hit up a class or two if you're interested.
