How to LOVE Valentine's Day No Matter Your Relationship Status

Ah, Valentine’s Day... it's really just another excuse to treat yourself, amiright? And if you happen to have an S.O.... well, that's just an added bonus. Even when I was very, very single, I digged Valentine’s Day. Maybe it was because of the copious amounts of dark chocolate staring me down in the aisles or the cheesy $1 decorations I so adore at Target... Either way, I enjoy it and truly believe you can too.

Regardless of your relationship status, 2/14 can be a fun opportunity to get down with your girl gang, go on a new adventure or stay in for the night. Here are some of my most favorite ideas!

Spend the Day Pampering Yourself

Oooof yes! Start your day with a hot yoga class, then treat yourself to a mani/pedi. Go home and bake something absolutely delicious. And while you're at it, light up some fancy vegetable wax candles. Maybe even go so far as to *gasp* read for pleasure. Seriously... when was the last time you made time for yourself to get lost in a book. A good, fluffy, fiction novel like one by Jodi Picoult. Mhm.

Enjoy a Night In With Pizza + Netflix

Confession: I used to hate pizza. I know... despicable. I've since grown into a happy pizza lover, so when someone says pizza, Netflix, and chill... I am alllll about it. Play it low-key and have a cozy night in with your friends, S.O. or even just yourself and a glass of vino. No shame in that. Pizza is one helluva date.

Throw a Galentine’s Day Party

Think of it like Secret Santa. Wrangle up your best girlfriends, throw all of your names together and have everyone randomly draw a name. Whoever you choose is your official GALENTINE. Ooh la la. Write your galentine a nice, thoughtful letter telling them what you love and admire about them.
