Hello, gorgeous babes! I am so excited about the changes in progress for my dear blog. I started Om & the City two years ago, and I can tell you it's been a momentous journey in both my personal and professional life, and I've started to get a handle on how I want this blog to evolve. So, thank you for those of you that have been with me since day numero uno and for those who have just recently come along for the ride. I write only what is true to my heart, and I hope you find inspiration out of it as well. I love to connect, so please feel free to write me with feedback any time -jules@omandthecityblog.com.

Now, what's a "feel good corner"? This is what I call my collection of little charms that make me feel good inside. If I am feeling stressed or over-whelmed, I pull from my corner to calm my nerves and bring myself back to center.

I associate the essence of balance and serenity with the items in my corner, and it is just a tiny reminder that emotions come in waves. Whatever it is that is stressing me out will pass, and sometimes it takes stepping away, reading that damn book on astrology, and then revisiting again.

Here's a breakdown of what's currently in my "Feel Good" Corner [photo above]:

  1.  SECRETS FROM A STARGAZER'S NOTEBOOKMaking Astrology Work for You by Debbi Kempton-Smith #libraforever - Thinking of how incredible the stars and planets are is really humbling.

  2. HOT COCOA W/ ALMOND MILK : organic and natural from a farm in Vermont

  3. AMETHYST : I feel a lot of powerful, good energy from my ever-growing crystal collection. Rocks rock.

  4. OPAL AND SAPPHIRE RINGS : I wear these rings stacked everyday. A rare, gorgeous opal from my mother, a sapphire & diamond cat-eye from SCOSHA, and tiny crescent moon from a local Brooklyn shop. These remind me of people in my life that mean so much to me.

  5. BURNING SAGE : Sage has natural healing and cleansing properties. If the energy in the room feels negative, I sage my entire apartment and it represents a fresh start.

  6. MALA BEADS : My lovely boyfriend bought this beautiful Third Eye Malafrom Tiny Devotions - "Your third eye chakra deals with your intuition, sense of purpose and direction in life. When it is open it allows you to see clearly and interpret the signs the universe is trying to send you." Enough said.

  7. EUCALYPTUS : My two favorite plants are lavender and eucalyptus. Either will do, but just having it next to me makes me feel fresh and calm. The smell is amazing too.

Surround yourself with beautiful and positive energy, and you will keep the good vibes flowing through!

Tell me, what's in your "Feel Good" Corner? Let me know in the comment section below.

Take care & stay well, my friends - - Jules x
